About Parent Connect
Parents and businesses, nonprofits, and neighbors beyond our campus encourage and support our success.
Parent Connect is the “PTA” at Village Tech! Parent Connect meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month during the school year. We aim to discuss topics that parents will find useful and help connect with each other in a social setting. If you have any general questions about life at VT, please email parentconnect@villagetechschools.org. While our team may not be able to answer homework questions, we will do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information! Please also join our Facebook group, Village Tech Parent Connect Team.

Drop off & Pick up
Drop-Off Details:
Parents - Stay in your car. Make sure your child is ready to get out of the car. When you arrive at your designated drop-off point, let your child get out swiftly! Smile and wave at your child. If your child is not prepared to get out of the vehicle: continue through the line to the parking lot, and let your child get prepared. Then, re-enter the drop-off line again for a swift exit from the vehicle.
Again, smile and wave goodbye to your student for a great day!
(Drop-off begins at 7:45 AM)
Arrival Times:
- PK - 8th grade: 8:00 AM (tardy after 8AM)
- 9th - 12th grade: 8:15 AM (tardy after 8:15 AM)

Dresscode
The Campus Director has the final discretion to determine if expectations are met with the Dress and Grooming Policy. If in violation of not being modest, respectful, or safe, the student will remain in class for that day with the expectation of not repeating the offense, or with a more severe violation, remain in the office until a change of clothes can be brought to the school (unexcused absence from class). For more information, please visit the Student Handbook.
The School’s Dress and Grooming Policy is designed to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruptions, minimize safety hazards, and provide a dress standard that offers flexibility for the parent and student. The operating words for these expectations for Village Tech Dress and Grooming Policy are modesty, respect, and safety.
Supply List
Below is our suggested school supply list for all grades for 2024-2025. When we return to the classrooms, these are the items that we will need. If you feel compelled to do so, we always need extra sanitizers and tissues!
Technology
9-12 graders are expected to bring devices to class (this includes their own device or a VT device)
For more information contact Joe Cain, Technology Director
Immunization
The State of Texas requires that every child in the state be immunized against vaccine-preventable diseases caused by infectious agents in accordance with an established immunization schedule.
To determine the specific number of doses that are required for your student, please read the “2017–2018 Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for Students in Grades K–12” document issued by the TDSHS. Specific immunization information is available on the TDSHS website.
Proof of immunization may be shown through personal records from a licensed physician or public health clinic with a signature or rubber-stamp validation.
Bacterial Meningitis
In the 86th Legislature, HB 3884 required the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to create procedures for school districts to provide information relating to bacterial meningitis to students and parents. This requirement was previously assigned to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). DSHS has created a website with bacterial meningitis information aimed at students and parents.
School Weather Policy
In typical Texas fashion, the weather can turn from tank tops to toboggans in less than 24 hours. With winter comes the potential for inclement weather. In the event of a delay to the start of school or the close of school, Village Tech will make the decision as early in the day as possible, preferably no later than 6:30 AM.
We will monitor the weather closely during the day. In the event of an early dismissal, the media below will be used as well. Parents are always welcome to pick up their children during the school day if they feel it necessary. We want to ensure that students are able to travel safely home from school.
We will communicate through the following media:
