James Cahalan is our Maker Education Specialist and one of our founding teachers here at Village Tech. He is a professional working artist and will be featured in The Myrle Knox Annual Juried Art Show and Exhibition hosted by the Grand Prairie Arts Council.
The Grand Prairie Arts Council (GPAC) is an organization that provides quality entertainment for the citizens of our city. They strive to provide a safe performing space for our artists, including those of color. The Myrle Knox Annual Juried Art Show and Exhibition opened on September 5th and will end on September 29th. The Show features original artwork including Drawing, Painting, Sculpture/3D, Mixed Media, Photography, and Digital Media.
On Sunday, September 11th at 6 pm, GPAC will host the Awards Ceremony where two of Cahalan’s pieces have been selected for the competition. The free event will be held at the Grand Prairie Theatre – 120 E. Main Street.
